I just got my strat upgraded with Duncan SSL-1 pickups, and this patch is just amazing for it. Beautiful cleans and some optional Tube Screamer and Tape Echo to get you going.

Slash Mod 2204
Most of the Slash patches I get all sound thin and frankly a little weird. He has a very straightforward tone. I tried to capture the spirit of his tone here. It's a bit fuzzy but I think it works well in a mix or for some headphone soloing.Sorry for the horrible soloing in my SoundCloud demo. My 6 year old thinks I sound great....

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
This is a slightly altered version of josepqr's patch on Custom Tone.To get the Gilmour tone, you need a single coil pickup, preferably a Strat.The patch has 3 snapshots, so make sure you cycle through them to get the range of tones in the preset.

Green Day Dookie Tone
This stereo tone replicates Billie Joe's tone on Green Day's Dookie album pretty well. There's a compressor and boost available for a little extra oomph, but they're off by default because they're not really needed to get the album tone.I used a Les Paul to record the Soundcloud demo, you may want to try a Strat or P90 guitar for a little extra high end.

Van Halen One for Stomp
This is a simple patch for achieving a close approximation of the sound on the Van Halen 1 album. Reverb is on the right and more direct signal on the left which is like the album. You can simply move the move the reverb up out of the path 2 back into path 1. I have a video with me going through various songs from the album. In the video I am using my EB MM Axis that is about 20 years old now. The pickups in that guitar are amazing.

Soldano
My take on Soldano amp with 3 gain stage. The first is the amp drive only (FS1), the second a Boost (FS2) and the third a TS style OD (FS4) - Sounds perfect with a Gibson ES-335, huge tone with tamed low ends and OD that cuts though the mix.

It's a bit more juiced than Angus's tone on the albums, but it's a great AC/DC tone. Try to use mild PAF-type humbuckers to get close to his tone. Long live ACDC!
